Getting older

I am fast approaching the age of 35. The oldest I have ever been. To some that sounds old, to others that sounds young...I understand that. To me, it sounds old and sometimes feels old. I thought that by 35 I would be a grown-up with a lot figured out? In many ways I feel like I am still stumbling through life except that now I have a lot more responsibility that affects other lives. Sigh.

Deep breath.

What I hope to do in my life. And no, this isn't a midlife crisis....I plan to live past 70 thank you very much.:
Raise two happy healthly sons.
Grow old and happy with my husband.
Be in fantastic physical shape. Enough to turn heads again.
Have a successful career doing something I love.
Get another degree.
Have a farm, rescue some animals.
Live frugally, yet take a warm relaxing vacation every year.
Have long beautiful gray hair.
Inspire others to do what they love.
Learn to let things go.
Welcome calmness and serenity to my days.
Teach my children to let things go.
Teach my children to seek calmness and serenity.
Not worry about money.
Live truthfully in every way.
Be the best I can be.

For today I will:
Enjoy my blueberry caffeine free green tea.
Drink lots of water.
Leave the office at 3, and try to forget about work until tomorrow.
Cook a good meal for my family.
